Here are some snaps from a wonderful summer day of hiking with new friends to a waterfall near Sanski Most, Bosnia. If I ever decide to publish a calendar called Waterfalls of the Balkans, this one will certainly be a strong contender. Thanks for looking.

Plitvic Lakes (Plitvička jezera) National Park, Croatia
When we visited Plitvic Lakes National Park in Croatia, I still couldn't get my tourism project from Istanbul out of my mind. I'd seen the waterfalls before, so this trip I decided to spend some time focusing on their visitors.

Dugi Otok, Croatia
Dugi Otok is a Croatian island in the Adriatic sea. Croatia's tourism motto is The Mediterranean As It Once Was. That doesn't apply as well around Dubrovnik, Hvar, and some of the other more-touristed areas, but as soon as we got to some of the outer islands and national parks, the natural beauty was breathtaking. Here's a little bit of what we saw.
